STANDARD FILTER KITS:
920 & 920R SERIES COALESCENT OIL SEPARATORS

  • All filter kits include: filter, gasket or O-ring and sealing washer.
  • Standard Filter Kits
The Standard Filter used in all 920 and 920R Series coalescent oil separators employs a matrix-type borosilicate coalescent filter to do the work formerly done by impingement screens. These exceptionally pure, extremely fine glass fibers cause the oil molecules to collide, creating bigger droplets, until each is large enough to be forced to the outer drain layer of the filter.

The droplets fall to the bottom of the separator and the oil is returned to the compressor. Because the Temprite Standard Filter is finer than any other filter/dryer, it will pick up all effluent and dirt in the system down to 0.3 microns in size.

    Minimize Burnout Effects
Another advantage of the 920 Series is that, should the compressor burnout, all effluent is localized in the separator, sparing delicate metering devices from a rush of carbonized particles.

    Clean-Up® Filter Kits
Temprite's Clean-Up® Filters are made of pleated fiber paper that is best suited for cleaning up a very dirty system.

    • Use Clean-Up® Filters when you are changing out refrigerant or retrofitting your system with a new Temprite coalescent oil separator, especially if there are a lot of contaminants and particulate matter in the system.
    • Temprite Clean-Up® Filters reduce system particulates down to 3 microns.
    • Use a Clean-Up® filter, changing the Filter as it fills up with dirt, until the pressure drop across the Clean-Up® Filter stays below 13 PSID.
    • Then switch to the Standard Filter and the particulate matter will be further reduced to 0.3 microns.

Clean Up Burnouts with a Clean-Up® Filter
After a burnout, just install a Temprite Clean-Up® Filter to purge the system of contaminants. Using a Clean-Up® Filter in conjunction with a coalescent oil separator can return the oil to near-virgin state.
