The Y1236C valve is a variable output pressure-reducing valve that tracks suction pressure. It is designed for high-pressure oil return systems, or other situations where a differential pressure regulator is required.

This valve permits the oil level control mounted at the compressor to feed at any specified level because the pressurized oil at the control is slightly greater than crankcase pressure. Set the output as needed for the system and the Y1236C adjusts the flow to maintain the desired output pressure.

The Y1236C reduces the inlet pressure by controlling a differential across the valve outlet and the force supplied to the valve's element. With high-pressure oil return systems, suction pressure is supplied to the element when located between the oil separator and the oil level control.

The factory setting for the Y1236C is 17 psi differential. The adjustment range is 10-25 psi differential with a 2.5 psi change per turn of adjustment

NOTE: An A-7 or Y1236C valve is not required when using a TraxOil electronic oil level control.
